Administrative Professionals Day at NHB/NMRTC Bremerton

They are the unsung heroes, the backbone of the command and the collective energy, effort and excellence that holds Navy Medicine Readiness Training Command Bremerton together. Administrative Professional Day, April 24, 2024, had little fanfare but provided an opportunity to recognise, recognize and celebrate the values and importance of the work that all administrative professionals and reception staff carry out every day.

“They really are the backbone of our daily operations at the core hospital and our branch clinics. Thank you for all you do,” said Capt. Patrick Fitzpatrick, director of Naval Hospital Bremerton and commander of NMRTC Bremerton.

The day’s history dates back to 1952, when National Professional Secretaries Week and National Secretary’s Day were established to recognize the importance and value of the secretarial position to a business, corporation or military organization like NMRTC Bremerton. The name of this special day has appropriately changed and evolved over the years and is now referred to as ‘Administrative Professionals Day’, helping to broaden the scope and skills of all administrative support staff across all disciplines (official image/ photos by Mass Communication 2nd Class Jennifer Benedict, public affairs officer for NHB/NMRTC Bremerton).
