Water rationing in Bogotá: the measures will start on Thursday, April 11

From Thursday, April 11, restrictive or rationing measures will begin in the drinking water supply in Bogotá and surrounding municipalities. The city will be divided into nine zones, which will have supply restrictions each day for a period of 24 consecutive hours from 8 a.m. to 8 a.m. the following day.

The calendar resumes on Saturday the 20th in zone one, and so on. The city of Usme will be the only one not to have any restrictions on the service; The district administration will report daily the internal daily consumption and the level of the reservoirs of the Chingaza system and its relationship with the curve to be achieved to reach 75% filling thereof by the end of this year.

Below we explain the areas, as well as the perimeters per direction, in which the measurement will apply. The rotation per zone will be every 10 days.

The first round of restrictions will apply at 10 locations covering 286 neighborhoods this Thursday, April 11.

Between Calle 116 and Calle 85, between Carrera 2 and Carrera 45
Between Calle 85 and Calle 53, between Carrera 7 and Carrera 45
Between Calle 85 and Calle 26, between Avenida Caracas (Carrera 14) and Carrera 68. Between Calle 26 and Calle 44Sur, between Carrera 6 and Carrera 68.

Cities: Antonio Nariño, Barrios Unidos, Chapinero, Los Mártires, Puente Aranda, Rafael Uribe Uribe, Santa Fe, Teusaquillo, Tunjuelito and Usaquén.

For this Friday, April 12, the second round of restrictions will apply in two locations with 311 neighborhoods and the industrial zone of the municipality of Cota.

Between 24th Street and 98th Street, between Ciudad de Cali Avenue (Carrera 86) and the border of the Bogotá River.

Between 26th Street and 95th Street, between Carrera 68 and Ciudad de Cali Avenue (Carrera 86).

Locations of: Engativá and Fontibón.

Industrial zone Cota (ESP Aguas de La Sabana).

The third round of restrictions will come into effect in three locations with 610 neighborhoods on Saturday, April 13.

Between Calle 95 and Calle 201, Autopista Norte (Carrera 20) and Carrera 75.

Between Calle 127 and 170, between Carreras 75 and 91.

Locations of: Barrios Unidos, Suba and Usaquén.

The fourth round of restrictions will come into effect in five locations covering 593 neighborhoods on Sunday, April 14.

Between Calle 43 Sur and Calle 92 Sur, between Avenida Ciudad de Cali (Carrera 86) and the Bogotá River.
– Between diagonal 61 South and Calle 69C Sur, between transversal 19A and Carrera 45.
– Between the southern highway and Carrera 45, between Calle 68 Sur and Diagonal 81 Sur.
– Between Avenida Ciudad Cali (Carrera 86) and Autopista Sur, between Río Tunjuelo and Carrera 77H – Between Río Tunjuelo, Avenida Boyacá and diagonal 68 South.

– Between Avenida Primero de Mayo and Autopista Sur, between Avenida Boyacá and Carrera 51.

Cities: Bosa, Ciudad Bolívar, Kennedy, Puente Aranda and Tunjuelito.

The fifth round of restrictions will come into effect on Monday, April 15, in five locations covering 614 neighborhoods.
