Brinkmanship: Joburg city manager evades second arrest attempt as municipal chaos unfolds

Efforts to apprehend Johannesburg City Manager Floyd Brink suffered another setback on Wednesday afternoon after a second arrest attempt proved unsuccessful.

It was the second time that day that the sheriff of the Court tried to enforce an order from an electricity importing company.

Stefan Erasmus, from Gittins Advocaten, who represents Pibir Investments in legal action against the municipality and Brink, had tried to arrest Brink at his home earlier in the day.
