The Bangladesh Metrological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thunderstorms in the country’s Chattogram and Sylhet divisions within 24 hours from 9 am on Friday.

“Rain or thunderstorms, accompanied by temporary gusts or showers, are likely to occur at one or two places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, with hail at isolated places,” a US State Department bulletin said.

The highest temperature in the country was recorded in Jashore at 42.4 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours till 6 am today.

On the other hand, the lowest temperature was recorded in Panchagarh’s Tetulia at 20.6 degrees Celsius.
