Unofficial primary results show potential Beaver County ballots for November

As polling places begin to close their doors and count their votes Tuesday evening, the unofficial results of several local elections are beginning to take shape.

With a primary full of unopposed candidates, the Beaver County Bureau of Elections & Voter Registration Office reports that local turnout currently stands at 17.35% of total registered voters. According to the unofficial data, the county has counted 19,504 votes as of 10 p.m., and 8,282 ballots had been counted as of Tuesday evening.

Beaver County is transitioning to a new atmosphere around elections, as The Times reported last year that the number of registered Republicans in the county has surpassed the number of registered Democrats. The region, previously a Democratic party stronghold, may see a shift in election results this fall and will likely be home to a vibrant campaign season.

While not as eventful as a general election, the day does provide a preview of what ballots will look like this fall. The unofficial results for this year’s primaries are as follows:
