Moroccan cities demonstrate in support of Gaza

(24/April/2024)

RABAT April 24, 2024 (Saba) – Many Moroccan cities have witnessed massive demonstrations and marches in support of Palestine and Gaza and demanding an end to the brutal Zionist aggression against the Gaza Strip.

Local media reported that thousands of Moroccans took part in demonstrations to demand support for the Palestinians, stop the Zionist war and provide aid to the Gaza Strip.

The demonstrators called on Arab and Muslim countries to take action, given the seriousness of the situation in the Gaza Strip, and make efforts to help the Palestinians.

Several cities also witnessed demonstrations, such as Rabat (west), Tangier and Oued Zem (north), with participants raising the Palestinian flag and banners in support of the Palestinian cause and in support of the resistance.

In Tangier, a massive march demanded an end to the starvation of Gazans and the prevention of the displacement of civilians. The participants praised Gaza’s steadfastness for 200 days from the start of Zionist aggression.

The participants of the march chanted slogans such as (Moroccan greetings to proud Palestine), (O prisoner, rest, rest, we will continue the struggle), (Palestine is for the free, normalization is a public shame), (O Muslims, oh free, Al-Aqsa calls us) and (With our soul and blood we will redeem you, O Al-Aqsa).

These demonstrations come in response to calls from civil organizations to support Palestine, including the ‘Moroccan Authority in Support of National Issues’ and the ‘Moroccan Front in Support of Palestine’.

Almost every day, many Moroccan cities, including the capital Rabat, witness mass vigils in solidarity with the Palestinian people, demanding an end to Zionist attacks on Gaza, the lifting of the siege and access to aid.
